With a practice focused primarily on administrative, civil and commercial litigation, Josie has been involved with matters before all levels of trial and appellate courts as well as administrative tribunals. A persuasive written and oral advocate and strategic thinker, Josie has recently advanced clients’ interests by:
- Providing strategic advice and representation to clients in relation to business disputes, including commercial arbitrations and mediations, contractual disputes, real estate and personal property litigation, corporate and shareholder disputes, franchise disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency litigation, and contract review to mitigate litigation risk;
- Advising public and private sector employers with respect to labour and employment matters, including collective bargaining, interest arbitrations, employment standards, termination of employment and human rights;
- Providing a full range of immigration services to individuals and businesses, with specialization in permanent residence, immigration appeals, refugee matters and admissibility issues; and
- Representing and advising clients with respect to public and regulatory law, including judicial reviews and appeals from decisions of boards, commissions and tribunals.
