With a practice focused primarily on administrative, civil and commercial litigation, Josie has been involved with matters before all levels of trial and appellate courts as well as administrative tribunals.  A persuasive written and oral advocate and strategic thinker, Josie has recently advanced clients’ interests by:

  • Providing legal opinions and representation with respect to complex and novel legal issues, including in relation to Charter rights and other constitutional matters;
  • Providing strategic advice and representation to clients in relation to business disputes, including commercial arbitrations and mediations, contractual disputes, corporate and shareholder disputes, franchise disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency litigation, and contract review to mitigate litigation risk;
  • Advising public and private sector employers with respect to labour, employment and human rights matters;
  • Representing and advising a diverse range of clients with respect to public and regulatory law, including judicial reviews and appeals from decisions of boards, commissions and tribunals.
